Our plasterer let us down last weekend as the lad who would be giving him a hand was sick and he couldn’t do it on his own.
He is now coming this Saturday but obviously it throws everything else back a week.

Michelle is going back to the hospital for another scan to make sure things are progressing ok so hopefully I will be able to post some new pictures of the baby later on.

We went for our second antenatal class last night.
This was all about what may happen in a non-typical labour senario.
I didn’t find it at all scary and it was good to prepare the mind for what may happen so that if on the day it does you are panicing quite as much.
I must say though that the chairs at the classes are truely awful – after about quarter of an hour my neck and shoulders start killing me and the classes are over 2 hours long.
Still only another 2 to suffer through. Next week is breastfeeding so that will be fun.
Also this Sunday we have our tour of the maternity ward at Stepping Hill.

Work on the nursery continues.
I had yesterday off work and spent the day stripping the wallpaper off the ceiling ready for it to be plastered on Saturday.
My Dad and his friend who is a joiner are coming today to fit the skirting boards and repair the wooden coving. We have a few other jobs for them to get on with but they don’t affect the nursery.

Our first antenatal class went well. I didn’t realise how long the classes were – the first one was 3 hours which is a long time to be sat on an uncomfortable chair. Having said that it was very informative and there was a lot to take on board.
We have another three classes over the next three weeks to get us ready for the big D day.

Tonight is the first of our antenatal classes.
Fortunately all our classes are in the evening and are Bredbury HC which isn’t a million miles away.
I’m sure those of you that have had kids know what this is all about but I have no idea what to expect aside from learning the breathing techniques.
I’ll let you know how it goes.

As part of my birthday presents I got a bit of money to spend as I see fit.
I decided to get myself a much better pair of headphones for listening to my MP3 player.
I settled on the Ultimate Ears Super.fi Pro headphones after reading this favourable review
I managed to grab em cheap off Ebay – £95 brand new including postage from America
I have to say that they are amazing. They take a little getting used to as the dual driver setup means you get a lot more bass than normal headphones. What’s really amazing though is that this extra bass isn’t at the extra of top end clarity – you just get a lovely full and detailed sound.
If you are in the market for some new headphones I would seriously recommend these.

I have now finished my massive update. There are lots of new posts below so check them out.
I have also updated the Pets section so check that out too.
I’ll try not to leave it so long before I post again.

A few weeks ago I spent the entire day tidying the garden up as it had gotten in a right state.
There is still tons of work to do (ie. rip the whole lot out and start again) but I am pleased with how much better it looks for my effort.
